Healthy Fast Foods
You can enjoy healthy fast food and not jeopardize your health
"Finding healthy fast foods is the number one enemy of healthy eating. If you want to eat healthy, you should never ever eat those burgers etc."You think so? It doesn't have to be like that. Not all fast food is the same, and there are definitely ways how you can enjoy fast food and still eat healthy. The secret is to choose healthy fast-food: grilled instead of fried foods, vegetables and low-calorie beverages. Here are some healthy fast food tips: Burger meals If you feel like having a burger, you can significantly reduce calories by going for a regular single burger instead of a large double or triple. Also order a small portion of chips instead of a large one, and water instead of coke. Skip cheese and mayonnaise, or decide on one of the two. Another possibility to create a healthy burger meal is to have salad instead of chips with your beef burger. Or choose a vegetarian burger. Fried chicken An excellent way of reducing calories here is to simply remove the skin of the chicken breast. Alternately, take the drumsticks which contain less fat. Add a salad, but be sparing with high calorie sauces Tacos and burritos Mexican chains can be a great place to find healthy fast food, since they use plenty of rice, beans, salsa and avocado which are very healthy foods. Just be careful not to add much cheese and sour cream to your meal, as they will transform it into high-calorie food. Ask them to put less on or serve them separately, or not to add these at all. Sandwiches Sandwiches are another great option of healthy fast food meals. Choose regular sized ones with lean meat, low-fat cheese and vegetables. Replace the mayonnaise by low-fat dressing or mustard. Also try whole grain bread which is healthier and more filling. Asian food In general, Asians eat very healthy, focusing rather on vegetables than meat, but fast food restaurants often serve high calorie versions of these healthy meals. Prefer stir-fried, steamed, broiled, baked or roasted foods to fried and battered ones. When it comes to sauces, wasabi, ginger and low-sodium soy sauce are much healthier options than regular soy sauce, sweet & sour sauce or coconut milk. Pizza and pasta Italian food usually contains lots of vegetables. Choose tomato sauce rather than butter- or cream-based sauces for your pasta, and order your pizza with half the amount of cheese and extra vegetables. Try to avoid dishes like carbonara, lasagna, alfredo or saltimbocca which contain much cheese and cream and therefore many calories. No matter where you go, make sure you don't eat more than you really need. Stick with smaller portions, or take half of your meal home for later. And make your fast food outing part of your general diet: If you want to treat yourself with a double cheese pizza, make your other meals healthier and a bit lower in calories than usually.Learn All The Best Kept Secret Recipes Behind Your Favorite Fast Food and Restaurant Dishes...
